Ernst Boris Chain
( June 19, 1906 - Aug 12, 1979) a German-born British biochemist who won the 1945 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine shared the Nobel Prize with Howard Walter Florey, and Alexander Fleming. He received the Nobel Prize for his work "for the discovery of penicillin and its curative effect in various infectious diseases".
