Ilya Mikhailovich Frank
(23 October 1908 – 22 June 1990) was a Russian physicist. He was winner of the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1958 for his work "in explaining the phenomenon of Cherenkov Radiation". He won the prize with Pavel Alekseyevich Cherenkov and Igor Y. Tamm. He received the Stalin prize in 1946 and 1953 and the USSR state prize in 1971.
